The
Dan Simon Orthopedic Institute was founded in 1977 by Dan Simon, a graduate of
the School of Orthopedics in Cologne, Germany, and a orthotist and prosthetist certified
by the relevant trade unions in Israel and Germany. Simon acquired his
experience during his military service as a prosthetist at the Tel Hashomer
Rehabilitation Center and through his work as a prosthetist at Tel Aviv’s
Zamenhoff Kupat Holim and Gapaim Ltd. at Tel Hashomer. Since then, he has been
meticulous about expanding and refining his knowledge even further by attending
annual workshops and conferences in Israel and around the world.
The
Dan Simon Orthopedic Institute is considered a world-class manufacturer of
orthopedic accessories. The Institute engages in the design and construction of
prostheses for both the upper and lower limbs, breasts, fingers, hands and
forearms, chest corsets, orthopedic belts, braces and other products. The
products are custom made according to customer requirements, using high quality
materials and cutting-edge technologies.
All
products manufactured by the Institute are registered at international
standards. They are recognized by the Tel Hashomer Rehabilitiation Center, and
the company is considered the main supplier of orthopedic products and services
for the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of
Finance.
